Q: What are Adorababy’s hours?

Adorababy is open by appointment only. You may call, text, email or send a message on Facebook to make your appointment. Appointments are scheduled at your convenience (later hours are offered if needed). Some Saturdays are available, but, they tend to book up fast, so call ahead of time please! We will try to accommodate your schedule!

 

Q: Can I be seen the same day I call Adorababy?

We will definitely try our best to see you if you want to come in the same day you call. However, it is highly recommended that you call and schedule your appointment ahead of time! There is a $10 same day fee.

 

Q: How long will my appointment take?

That will depend on the ultrasound package you are purchasing. A typical visit lasts about 15-25 minutes from start to finish. Being on time is pertinent in order to give you the quality scanning time you want with your adorababy. 

 

Q: What is the heartbeat ultrasound package?

The heartbeat package at Adorababy is offered anytime throughout your pregnancy. A baby’s heartbeat can be heard on ultrasound at 6 weeks. You must already be under an obstetrician’s care before your scheduled visit at Adorababy. The heartbeat package is a 2D ultrasound.

 

Q: Does Adorababy offer diagnostic ultrasounds?

Adorababy does not under any circumstances, offer diagnostic ultrasound imaging. Adorababy is strictly for entertainment purposes only. Pregnant women looking to come into Adorababy, must already by under an obstetrician’s care.

 

Q: Do I need anything from my obstetrician’s office to get an ultrasound at Adorababy?

You do not need anything from your physician’s office. Upon your arrival at Adorababy, you will fill out a waiver and provide us with your physician or midwife’s information in case they need to be contacted. This waiver must be filled out before any ultrasound can be performed at Adorababy.

 

Q: Is it safe to get an elective ultrasound at Adorababy?

Many studies have been done over the years and it has been concluded that there are no known harmful side effects to the fetus or to the mother from having an ultrasound. 2D, 3D and 4D ultrasound all utilize sound waves that bounce back and forth from the ultrasound probe to the baby, in order to produce an image. There is no harmful radiation whatsoever, used in ultrasound imaging.

 

Q: How many weeks do I need to be for a 3D/4D ultrasound?

Adorababy recommends having your 3D/4D ultrasound performed between 28 - 32 weeks. However, it is possible for excellent images of your baby to be obtained before 28 weeks and after 32 weeks. It mostly depends on baby’s size, positioning and amniotic fluid surrounding baby!

 

Q: Can you always get great 3D/4D images of my baby?

ALWAYS unfortunately just isn't possible. I will work my hardest to get you the best images possible of your precious baby! But, if your baby consistently looks face down, it will be very difficult to see the baby's face. Also, if your baby likes its hands or feet in its mouth, chances are, they won’t move them for a long period of time, if at all. I have lots of tricks up my sleeve that I will try to get baby moving! But there are times when baby is determined to stay put. If this happens, Adorababy offers one repeat ultrasound at no additional charge. Hopefully, baby will have moved by then, however, Adorababy cannot guarantee perfect images. Every baby and every woman’s body scans differently, depending on gestational age, position, amount of fluid, and maternal body habitus. Adorababy certainly does promise to make every possible effort to obtain the best images of whatever parts of the baby that can be seen for your enjoyment.

 

Q: What can I do before my appointment to get baby moving?

While there is nothing guaranteed to get baby in the perfect position, Adorababy recommends that you eat before you come and if possible, drink something sugary or even caffeinated. Sugary and/or caffeinated beverages are merely suggestions and are not in any way necessary.

 

Q: How many people can come with me to my ultrasound session?

Please bring as many family, friends and loved ones as you’d like to have with you! That is partly why Adorababy is here, so that you can share your baby and ultrasound session, with those of your choosing! Children are welcome too! Adorababy wants you to feel comfortable and have a memory that will last a lifetime! Please have your party arrive with you at your scheduled time. We will get started soon after you arrive and there may be another appointment after yours, so you don't want to miss out on quality time with your adorababy!

 

Q: Can you tell with 100% certainty, the gender of my baby?

I never say that I’m 100% certain of the gender, specifically because I cannot see the baby outside of the womb. However, I can say that I am a licensed, certified & registered diagnostic medical sonographer and have been practicing ultrasound for 20 years. I will not tell you the gender if I am not as certain as I can possibly be! If baby isn’t in a good position and I am unable to determine the gender, you will be rescheduled at no additional charge. If the gender is incorrect, you will receive either a refund or a free 3D/4D play package session. It hasn't happened yet, but we are human!

 

Q: How far along do I have to be to find out the gender?

Here at Adorababy, the gender can be determined starting at 14 weeks! Please come in with a full bladder for your early gender determination ultrasound!

 

Q: Does Adorababy accept insurance or Medicaid?

Adorababy does not accept insurance or Medicaid at this time. Adorababy is an entertainment-based ultrasound facility, therefore it cannot be filed under insurance or Medicaid. Adorababy accepts cash and all major credit and/or debit cards.

 

Q: What ultrasound equipment do you use?

Adorababy utilizes the GE Voluson S8 to perform all ultrasound imaging. The GE Voluson S8 has been seen in GE advertisements and many printed articles all over the world. This is an exceptional 2D, 3D and 4D ultrasound scanning machine. HD Live is also offered but only utilized when deemed appropriate to use by the sonographer.
